WAR IN UKRAINE - Statement by Russian security council / Security of EC staff members: Q&A
Last week,
Russian Security Council via state Russian agency published.
Its statement on your statement when you said that there is no evidence that Ukraine used airspace of an EU country to attack Russia, and in this statement,
it's a very strange statement of the Russian Security Council,
but they mentioned the name of one of your spokespersons and speculate on the possibility that this person could meet a drone.
During your way to the work, are you aware about this statement and what you are going to do,
take note, or is it a threat or not a threat, what it was. Thank you for your question. Go ahead.
What we're going to say is that the security of our staff members is an utmost priority, of course,
for the European Commission, not to be too legalistic, but if you look at Article 24 of the Staff Regulation.
You can see that they are prepared for such scenarios and we have the duty to provide assistance to,
staff members affected by such threats, so they are requested and justified this can be done by the Commission. We have the duty to do so.
Thank you Balazs, do you have other questions on this topic for Balazs?
