The Panel is a special occasion
in which the European Commission
involves the European citizens
to understand the functioning
of the policymaking
and to have suggestions to do
a better Europe for everyone.
I think the most important things
are the innovative things,
the things of tomorrow,
especially in the relation with technology.
For example: infrastructure,
which can be understood
by many different ways.
It's not only roads and railways.
It can also be,
for example, IT,
the digitalisation of the European Union.
I think the area to focus on
should be the environment, personally.
Out of all the options,
I feel it’s the most important
although, given the time of year
and the global situation,
security is also a key issue.
At the moment, perhaps the most important topic
for me, especially as a Finn,
is general security and defence policy.
For me, it's armament, defence.
That is to say, it's topical, right?
So right now, that's all people are talking about.
And I agree with a lot of things.
We had, like, these really
harmonious conversations and,
I think our group didn't have
a lot of disagreements.
And in the end,
I did change my mind a bit,
because I realised
most people prioritise education.
In that sense,
I think it was a powerful union,
a truly great initiative,
because together we are stronger.
If we can all make our voices count,
and help one another,
I think that’s foundamental.
I was fortunate enough to be able
to participate in this European Panel,
and I found it very,
very enriching.
What I hope to see
in the following years,
I think it's just change,
just taking into consideration
what the people want.
