This video stockshot provides illustration footage of training activities under the Hybrid Wind project at the University of Technology in Gdansk, Poland. The project is co-financed by the European Union under the Clean Energy Transition (CET) Partnership, an initiative that brings together public and private stakeholders in the research and innovation ecosystems to empower the clean energy transition and contribute to the EU’s goal of becoming the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. The Hybrid Wind project seeks to reduce operation and maintenance costs of wind turbines by pioneering new hybrid based methods for detecting damage utilising advanced damage prediction modelling of components through the creation of Digital Twins and the use of AI.
The footage includes students preparing and participating in the motion testing of a 2.2 MW wind turbine wing under extreme temperatures, simulating conditions in the Baltic Sea. The students then participate in the digital registration and reading of test data feeding into the digital twin.
