EU-funded projects on skills - Greece
This report provides illustration photos of a training project in Greece, co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF+), whereby young people get vocational training for a career in the aerospace industry. The project is an innovative cooperation of the Hellenic employment services (DYPA) and the Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI) and aims at training young people as aircraft mechanical engineers. The apprentices attend theoretical and laboratory courses at the vocational school and in parallel they have work-based training at the HAI premises. Here they work together with experienced HAI mechanics and learn from them. After successful graduation, the apprentices can expect to be offered a job at the HAI.
