On 30 October 2016, EU leaders and Justin Trudeau, Canadian Prime Minister, met for the 16th EU-Canada Summit in Brussels. The summit was an opportunity to sign the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA).
