This video stockshot provides illustration footage of the Port of Klaipeda in Lithuania, as well as the surrounding coastal environment, filmed in June 2023. The Port of Klaipeda is the main port connection in Lithuania, part of the EU’s TEN-T North Sea-Baltic corridor, and one of the largest port complexes in the Baltic Sea. The port’s recent development has been supported by co-funding and loans from the EU. Among the co-financed projects are the reconstruction of wave breakers to protect the port, and the rehabilitation, extension and deepening of the port’s quay walls to facilitate access for larger vessels, thus contributing to greater productivity in line with the EU’s aim of greening maritime transport.
