This info-clip sets out to illustrate a joint communication on draft guidelines for the European Structural and Cohesion Funds covering the period 2000-2006 which was discussed at the college meeting of the 03.02.99. Three projects serve to illustrate some of the different types of EU funding: Support to industry in rural areas in the form of a leather testing centre to promote the footwear industry in Aragon, Spain; transport infrastructure showing a high speed train in Castile, Spain; and finally promoting rural development and environmental concerns illustrated by organic farming in the UK.
