This report provides illustration photos of various fisheries and maritime activities of the Port of Vigo, in Spain. It shows general views of the port, early morning wholesale fish market, consumer fish markets, seafood restaurants, as well as various general views of the commercial port. It also shows mussel farming in the Vigo estuary off the Port of Vigo.

In addition, the report provides photos of the European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA), which is based in Vigo. EFCA is a European Union agency that coordinates the control, inspection and surveillance under the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP). EFCA was established to organise operational coordination activities by the Member States and to assist them to cooperate so as to comply with the rules in order to ensure its effective and uniform application. The photos show the daily activities of the operations centre inside the Agency premises, as well as one of the Agency’s control vessels at quay in the Port of Vigo, preparing its next inspection.
