This series of illustration photos shows examples of EU-funded projects aimed at integrating migrants and refugees in European countries.
For young men with a migration or refugee background, life in Germany is sometimes a cultural balancing act. Also for those born in Germany, some have grown up with completely different values and norms, which can lead to misunderstandings and conflicts. This is where the Lower Saxony violence prevention project "Brothers" comes in. It aims to question old role models, norms of masculinity and the legitimation of violence and thus to enlighten an understanding of coexistence in Germany.
The project is co-funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
