These illustration photos show the biggest photovoltaic park in Wallonia, Belgium, situated in the region of Braine l'Alleud. Inaugurated in March 2023, this project is the result of a long process undertaken by the town to meet current and future electricity supply needs. It accommodates 18,500 solar panels on an 18 hector surface. The production from the panels is equivalent to 10% of the region's households consumption. This solar array therefore makes a direct contribution to the renewable energy efforts that Wallonia must make as part of its Climate Energy Plan.
