In December 2020, German astronaut Matthias Maurer was assigned to his first International Space Station mission known as ‘Cosmic Kiss'. He is the second European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut to fly under NASA's Commercial Crew Programme, as part of SpaceX Crew-3.
